What to Do When God Seems Silent

Let’s be honest, sometimes faith isn’t easy.

You pray and hear nothing.
You read the Word but it feels dry.
You show up to church and still feel distant.

We don’t talk about those moments enough, but we all face them. Times when we’re doing all the right things, but we still feel stuck, disconnected, even forgotten.

But here’s what I’ve learned: God’s silence is not the same as His absence.

Sometimes, the quiet seasons are where the deepest roots are formed.
Sometimes, the waiting is where the greatest transformation happens.
And sometimes, God is doing His most important work in you, not around you.

In John 11, Jesus waited two extra days after hearing that His friend Lazarus was sick. He didn’t rush. He didn’t panic. To those watching, it looked like He was late. But He wasn’t late. He was about to reveal something far greater than a healing. He was about to bring resurrection.

If you’re walking through a season where faith feels hard, where prayers feel unanswered, let me remind you:

  • You’re not alone.

  • Your feelings are valid, but they’re not final.

  • God’s timing is still perfect.

  • And His silence never means He’s stopped working.

Keep showing up.
Keep trusting.
Keep worshiping even when you don’t feel it.

Because faith isn’t built on feelings. It’s built on trust. And trust says, “Even if I don’t see it yet, I believe God is still moving.”

You’re not being ignored. You’re being prepared.

Don’t give up. You’re closer than you think.
