What If I’m Not Growing Spiritually?

Ever felt like you’re stuck?

You still go to church.
You still read your Bible.
You still believe.
But deep down, you wonder… Why am I not growing?

That question doesn’t make you weak. It makes you honest.

The truth is, spiritual growth doesn’t always feel like progress.
Sometimes it feels like stillness.
Sometimes it feels like silence.
And sometimes, it feels like you’re doing everything right but seeing nothing change.

If that’s where you are, here’s what you need to know:

Growth isn’t always visible, but it’s always valuable.

Think about it – your deepest roots grow in the darkest places.
You don’t see them. You don’t feel them. But they’re digging deep.
That’s what happens when you stay faithful in the quiet seasons.

So what can you do when you feel like you’re not growing?

  • Don’t confuse stillness with stagnation.
Even when it seems slow, God is working beneath the surface.

  • Check your diet.
What are you feeding your spirit? Growth follows nutrition.

  • Guard your environment.
Plants don’t grow well in toxic soil. Your surroundings matter.

  • Keep showing up.
Sometimes growth isn’t in the moment – it’s in the momentum.

1 Corinthians 3:6 says, “I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth.”

So trust the process. Stay rooted.
And rememberGod doesn’t measure growth the way the world does.
